The huge Commerce Server banner displayed at the expo hall entrance welcomed show visitors and directed plenty of traffic to the Commerce Server pod. The team was busy demonstrating what Commerce Server 2009 has in store. And finally, there was Sico, the Commerce Server 2009 robot who chatted with attendees, sang to them and yes, even danced with a few. |
CS2009 release announces an alliance to help retailers tackle the challenge of linking consumers to emerging technology platforms such as social networking and online communities. Consumers are driven by value and convenience. Retailers need to respond by providing shopping experiences that adapt to the changes in consumer behavior – by providing social, mobile and cross-channel shopping choices.
In this event, Microsoft has shown multi-channel demo on commerce server 2009. This demo was developed on new technologies which includes CS2009, SQL Server 2005, MS Point of Sale and showcased many features such as managing day-to-day marketing, merchandizing, content management tasks, Workflow to approve, audit, publish online product information, targeted cross-sells, up-sells, pricing and product information across channels, SMS messaging, etc.
In the month of January 2009, MS has released it’s first CS2009 RC candidate and you can download it from MS connect website.
